On October 24, 2023, the Alliance of Ukrainian Universities, with support from the International Renaissance Foundation, launched a large-scale nationwide project “Strengthening Community Capacity for Recovery through Piloting Their Interaction with Universities.” The project aims to unite academic communities with local stakeholders to enhance local recovery plans with the strong expertise of Ukrainian universities.
Kateryna Shuvarska, Executive Director of the Lviv Regulatory Hub, leads the project team. The team develops collaboration models for universities and communities. These models will be integrated into the strategic plans of participating universities and promoted by the Alliance for adoption by other institutions of higher education. Ultimately, the university-community collaboration models will facilitate an integration of the service mission into the Ukrainian universities’ activities, fostering stronger collaboration between educational institutions and local communities.
